Patagonia—February 2006

Patagonia

This year's trip to Patagonia was another success. This year's crew consisted of first timers Greg Vieth, Don Clayton, Tony Schmitz and Justin Cordonnier. Gene Horbelt and I are veterans of the game.

New rivers to us:

  • The Rio Manso is one of the most beautiful rivers we have ever seen. Tony landed a 24" fat brown on a bugger. Four sets of white water expert guides held us in prime water.
  • Rivadavia River and Arroyo Pescado had the typical large numbers of 14"–18" rainbow, a few browns, and a first for us—landlocked Atlantic salmon.

Seven days of guided fishing, all beverages, lodging, food, etc. came to $3,000.

Airfare, tips & gratuities, two nights in Buenos Aires and transfer not included.
